Sony mavica MVC-CD1000 DIGITAL CAMERA

Digital phones, Digital TV's, DVDS, Digital Cameras and what ever next Digital babies?

But not to worry Digital Babies are a little bit away yet, that I am told will be an enhanced feature of Designer babies.

But for the moment lets worry about Digital Cameras if you don't own a digital camera than you are nobody on the cyber sceptre.

And if you are going to own one than I think it has to be a SONY,
That I can tell you from my own experience with SONY mavica FD91 with a floppy disk drive its easy to operate with high resolution and take the floppy out insert it in you floppy drive and that's it you are own your way to be a famous photographer.

Since the launch of digital cameras Sony has launched various models with differing features and choices of medium including memory sticks and floppy drives but now they have launched the CD1000 model which uses an inbuilt CD writer to record images at a much higher resolution for someone like me it's a dream come true.

CD1000 was released in USA back in August but only few weeks ago it has become available in Europe too.
It records images on to a 3-inch CD-R disc maximum capacity 156 MB and maximum
resolution maybe 1600x1200 with professional quality CCD with 2.1 million pixels.

It also features Sony's world famous optical "steadyshot" photo stabilisation and features an amazing lens that can focus as close as 0.8 inch or can zoom up to 10x, Sony's steafyshot technology is remarkably effective at producing jitter-free images even at maximum zoom.

The camera offers point-and-shoot model with automatic focus, but flexible
focus controls are also available.
Landscape mode focuses at infinity, while pan focus mode allows closer focusing with a smaller lens opening and without zooming this results in avoiding auto focus delay, you can also use manual focusing

The eyelevel colour viewfinder serves as an electronic SLR displaying the images, as the camera will render it. It also displays all of the information shown on 2.5 inch LCD screen. You could turn off the LCD screen to extend
battery life as the viewfinder is only activated when eye presses on it

The camera uses Sony's high-capacity info lithium batteries and a combination recharger and AC adapter is included

It also features speaker and in-built microphone.
