For U.S. companies worried about a domestic
slowdown in technology industry and threatened
recession in general, and looking to diversify their customer base
into Asia, Asiatech@Austin 2001 is a must attend conference. Asian
companies and organizations will be attending the conference where
they hope to learn about and see new technologies applicable to
operating on the Internet. Exhibitors at the conference will be
able to build alliances to develop their own business strategy,
whether it is marketing, licensing, outsourcing, location or manufacturing.
Asiatech @ Austin 2001, May 14 -18 in the Austin Convention Center
will provide innovative approaches to build business relationships
between U.S. and Asian companies.
It is evident that the technology companies
in the U.S. who are surviving - and indeed continuing
to grow - in the current downturn are those well diversified in
their customer base as well as
product line. An example is that of National Instruments in Austin
which continues to expand its employment even today. Diversification
is the key.
Why Asia? According to Infoworld, September
25, 2000 "
the next decade will bring an explosion of
Internet usage
in Asia. Companies that do not take advantage
of new opportunities (in Asia) may find that someone else is eating
their lunch." Business Week, December 11, 2000 reported on
the growth rate of Chinese speaking Web users at 760%, Japanese
at +180% while English speaking users will decline by -37%. Asiatech
@ Austin 2001 is the answer to build the
bridge between the U.S. and Asia. Specially designed seminars and
exhibits focused on integrating with the internet, wireless communications,
infrastructure software, e-commerce
and outsourcing opportunities will be presented at Asiatech @ Austin.
