The Baitul Futuh Mosque will stand for Peace and Tolerance in Europe
The inauguration in London of the Western Europe’s biggest mosque by Ahmadi Muslims is a prelude of things to come, the worldwide head of the 200-million strong community Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmed declared in his opening address: “May this mosque keep on presenting the beautiful Islamic teachings of peace, tolerance and understanding to the whole of Europe, and may the noble-minded and pious people flock to this mosque to seek purity of soul.”
“Although Baitul Futuh is the largest mosque complex in Europe, I pray that Allah may enable the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community to build even larger and more beautiful mosques in future.” “The work does not finish once the mosques are built. We must continue our efforts to populate these mosques. From these mosques must go out a message of peace, love and tolerance to the whole world.”
“It is only with prayers and submission to God that one can achieve high standards of justice and can recognise the Rights of all human beings. If you want to win the pleasure of Allah, your must purify your soul.” The community, which has spread to 174 countries, also holds the largest annual gathering of Muslims in Britain at its site in Tilford, Surrey, with over 25,000 people from around the world. Now the community, which condemns any form of extremism and lives by a code of Love for All, Hatred for None, is focusing on another mosque project in Birmingham |
