Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan sort out their grievances and will work together on an ad film very soon

The friction between Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan is over. The two seem to have sorted their differences. Last week, Farah went to Shah Rukh’s house with her three kids and they have decided to work together again.
A common friend of Shah Rukh and Farah says, “Shah Rukh was very irritated when Farah announced Tees Maar Khan with Akshay Kumar. Actually, it came to him like a bolt from the blue.”
Explaining what led to the friction, our source revealed, “Shah Rukh kept delaying Farah’s film Happy New Year. How long could she have waited for him? There was a time when the two of them distanced themselves from each other. That was a phase of uneasy calm on both sides.”
However, better sense prevailed. “Shah Rukh and Farah share a very deep bonding and one film can’t ruin that. A couple of days ago, Farah got a call from Shah Rukh’s company to direct a TV commercial, for which she has agreed,” added the source.
Today, they share a very comfortable relationship. They are very much on talking terms. Farah even calls up Red Chillies Entertainment for their opinion on choices she makes about the technicians for Tees Maar Khan.
Deven Munjal, Advertising Head, Red Chillies confirmed that they have approached Farah to direct a commercial. He tells us, “Farah has always been a part of the ads which Red Chillies makes. She is the right choice to direct the commercial for which we have approached her. Let’s see how it takes off from here.”
Farah confirmed, “Yes, I am shooting a commercial for Red Chillies Entertainment very soon.”

Shahrukh Khan and Farah Khan have broken the ice between them and are back on talking terms. In fact, they have decided to work together too. Farah went to Shahrukh’s house last week with her three kids.
Shahrukh was apparently annoyed when Farah announced her decision to cast Akshay Kumar in ‘Tees Maar Khan’. He had absolutely not expected that.
According to sources, Shahrukh kept delaying Farah’s ‘Happy New Year’. But Farah couldn’t keep waiting for him. This led to some tension between both of them.
However, they decided to not let one film ruin their friendship. Shahrukh’s company called Farah asking her to direct a TV commercial. She has agreed to do it.
According to Deven Munjal, the Advertising Head of Red Chillies, Farah has always been a part of the commercials made by Red Chillies.
Farah has confirmed that she is working on the ad with Red Chillies.

Friendship never ends - Farah Khan and SRK
By DC, 28 January, 2010
Despite strong rumours that the two friends have fallen apart, Farah Khan’s fondness for Sha Rukh Khan reigns supreme. Ever since Akshay Kumar was roped in for Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan, it was touted that SRK and Farah were no longer on talking terms. The director however, silenced all those wagging tongues with her recent remarks. Farah told her technical team that it is SRK’s Ra1 that should be given priority over her film, Tees Maar Khan.
A source says, “Both SRK and Farah’s films have a common production team and Farah made it clear that Ra1 should be given first preference when music directors Vishal-Shekhar voiced out that the dates they have given both the films are clashing. Farah told Vishal to finish SRK’s schedule first. The two are as thick friends as ever and professional differences can never creep into their relationship.”

Farah calls up estranged buddy SRK to tell him what she thought of My Name Is Khan.
They spoke for half an hour
UPALA KBR upala@ mid- day. com Farah Khan saw estranged friend Shah Rukh Khan’s My Name Is Khan at a special screening on Sunday morning.
The Om Shanti Om director loved the film, and has been praising Karan’s work to everyone since. She told KJo how much she enjoyed the film and also called SRK who was not present at the screening.
Farah admits, “ Yes, I saw MNIK and I loved it! When I go to watch a film, I don’t scrutinise it like a director, but see it as aam junta . Karan has made a beautiful film. He has moved away from his traditional style of films and made a very touching film. I thought Shah Rukh was brilliant in the film and I called him up immediately after the film and told him that. We discussed the film for about half an hour.” Criers’ ball At the screening, Farah was sitting with Karan on the right, and John Abraham on the left.
She laughs, “ Yes, John and I were like two mad Parsis sobbing our hearts out. In fact, John cried more than I did, and he used up all my tissues! MNIK has many tender moments. I was crying because it was a very sentimental time for me. I missed Karan’s dad Yash ji .” Early sleepers When asked why she didn’t see the film sooner at Karan’s special trial, the previous night, she adds, “ I sleep very early.
So does John. That’s why we were the only two people to attend the technicians’ screening in the morning.”

When Farah Khan signed Akshay Kumar for Tees Maar Khan, so much was said about the strained relationship between Farah and Shah Rukh Khan that they were all but written off as friends.
Now Farah's brother, and SRK's good pal, Sajid Khan has stepped in to talk about the rift.
"All this talk that Akshay was cast in Tees Maar Khan instead of SRK was just media hype. Farah and SRK are such good friends that whatever they do in professional life is respected by each other. I have had dinner with SRK so many times after the news of the so-called split, and I can assure you that there's no jhagda between us or between SRK-Farah,” says Sajid Khan.
Not only this, Sajid even says that his dream project is to get Akki and King Khan together. “I so wanted to cast Akshay and Shah Rukh together in a film. In Heyy Babby I did, but as a small part. I want to cast them together in a big film as parallel leads. I am sure that one day, I will come up with a project where I can get the two of them together, and the film will be memorable only for that fact," says Sajid. His next film House Full is all set to release on April 30.

April 29, 2010 15:09 IST
CommentFarah Khan had surprised many by casting Akshay Kumar [ Images ] in Tees Maar Khan instead of favourite Shah Rukh Khan [ Images ] but the director says contrary to rumours her friendship with King Khan [ Images ] continues to be strong.
"So many things have been written since Akshay's name was announced. People do enjoy such things. I guess it is more entertaining. But there is nothing wrong with our friendship. I will remain Shah Rukh's friend till I die and I hope this is the case with him as well," Farah told PTI in an interview.

What is her reaction to rumours, predicting the end of one of the most famous friendships in Bollywood?
"I have read a lot about the end of my friendship with Shah Rukh. It is funny initially but after sometime you start getting irritated," said the 45-year-old director.

Farah Khan-Shah Rukh Khan patch up?

Shah Rukh Khan
Film-maker Farah Khan, who has been widely reported to have had a fall out with actor Shah Rukh Khan, has been spotted visiting Mannat. This development has got the grapevine buzzing that the once two best and inseparable friends have patched up. It has been rumoured that Farah’s decision to work with Akshay had led to their estrangement.
“Farah dropped in at Mannat before SRK left for his London shoot. It looks like the two best friends are very much in touch no matter what the gossip mongers are saying. It was unlikely that differences, if any, between them would last long as they have been together through ups and downs and have a great deal of adulation for each other,” says a source.
Though Farah’s phone was unreachable, her brother Sajid reveals, “It is true that Farah still goes to SRK’s house. They might be joining hands soon for a project. They have been friends for 20 years. They will never let work come in the way of their friendship. They love being with each other.”
The film-maker adds, “What people are not seeing is that after Farah became a mother of three children, doing late nights at SRK’s place has become difficult for her. Just because people did not spot her at his parties, they started to gossip. That’s not fair. Their friendship hasn’t soured.”

Daily News & Analysis
Superstar Shah Rukh Khan today said his friendship with filmmaker Farah Khan remains strong despite him not playing the lead in her upcoming Akshay-Katrina starrer Tees Maar Khan.
"If I am not doing any film with my friends does not mean we are no longer friends.. I do not think negative of my friends and wish Tees Maar Khan the best. I hope that the film turns out to be a bigger hit than Om Shanti Om," SRK told reporters in Mumbai.
To a question if he will watch his friend turned foe Salman Khan's Dabangg releasing next month, Shah Rukh said the film's promos and songs look interesting.
"I saw Lafange Parindey last week and will watch Dabangg at home after my children's exams are over," he said.
The actor denied that he has been offered huge fee to perform at the inauguration of Commonwealth games. "I am yet to be asked for it. But, I am out of the country in October shooting for Don 2," he said and added that the controversy surrounding the games was not good for the country.
"In the larger national interest, we have to stick together to make the games a success," he felt according to him, in India sports is not promoted well.
"We either cheer our players or hate them when they do not do well. We need to respect sports talent to create an honest and healthy sporting environment for our children to emulate. Sports is the nicest teacher of life," he added.
