Having travelled around the world many times over one develops a liking or disliking for certain aircrafts.

Having travelled thousands and thousands of miles in the Boeing 747, which is the workhorse of the airline industry.
I more or less fell in love with it and particularly sitting in a 767 and feeling claustrophobic for hours on end I always preferred flights with
a 747 ranging from a classic to 747-400.

And until now there has never been any other Aircraft to match the comfort and smoothness and ease of the flight of a 747 But now the Airbus industry is posing a massive challenge to the Boeing company manufacturers of 747
jumbos with the launch of A3XX uper aircraft

Airbus industry of Europe has been breaking new grounds of late in marketing
of a wide range of fly-by-wire aircrafts in the world aircraft industry.

Airbus has broken Boeing's monopoly in this industry very successfully by offering a better range and a better family of Aircrafts to the Industry at a crucial time when the industry needs it most

And now Boeing no longer is the largest Aircraft maker in the world but
Airbus has taken over that position not only Airbus has been making tremendous
strides in marketing their very hi-tech aircrafts but has been very brave
and forthcoming with the launch of a super jumbo type aircraft which required
an investment of very many billions of dollars.

The double-deck A3XX will be the largest aircraft ever built, providing
more personal space for all passengers, plus the potential for a host of new in-flight amenities. The aircraft will offer significantly lower operating costs than the largest airliner flying today, as well as operational commonality
with existing new generation Airbus types. The baseline version of the aircraft will seat 555 people in a three-class configuration (First, Business and
Economy), and travel up to 8,150 nautical miles. First flights are expected in 2004, with entry into passenger service scheduled for early 2006.

Over30 years many things have changed, materials, Technology and design and manufacturing techniques have all advanced.

The A3XX benefits from all of these, but more importantly the priorities have changed.

A new large aircraft must now be a better fitting piece to the puzzle making the whole system more effective and efficient. This is the key to the A3XX's contribution-the 21st century flagship

The A3XX brings new standards of comfort; better economics in an aircraft
that is more environmentally responsible whilst doing all of this it allows growth and reduced congestion from today's airports with minimum of change. Most importantly, the A3XX introduces competition to the large aircraft sector completing airbus products portfolio

Airbus has received firm commitments for a total of 32 A3XX aircraft from four customers: Singapore Airlines, Emirates Airlines, Air France and U.S. leasing company ILFC.
And various other airlines of the world are considering placing orders and options for the A3XX.
